2 May

Today we put Ratu on the plane to his new home with Chris and his family in Hawaii. Chris has had RRs for many years and was keen to buy a Nikki puppy.

Ratu is from our Nikki - Bubbles litter and it is lovely to see how well he has settled in to his new life.

28 April

Paul and Armani (Ch Chilolo BM Gold Dust Woman AI) are awarded Best Exhibit In Hound Group in North Queensland.

The judge made the following comment on Armani "she has lovely bone and substance, great front assembly and the handler did a good job.

Her conformation stood out and she has a lovely head". Simone broke her hip recently and so is unable to show but luckily her husband, Paul, stepped up to handle Armani. Super congratulations to Paul and Armani!!

23 April

Well today Tuku surprised us by going into labour 5 days early!!!!

I was very concerned at this early labour so I chose to have a caesarean for her on Sunday night and she produced 10 healthy puppies.

They all have ridges and are all strong and healthy and we have at least 2 liver nosed boys.

These puppies are sired by Barry (Ch Annabahr Barrister Brown) who was a lovely dog so we will watch their development with great interest.

22/23 April

We had a super weekend with Caelum being awarded Best of Breed and Runner Up Best Exhibit in Hound Group at two shows in Brisbane.

Goldie was Challenge Bitch and Runner Up Best of Breed on Sunday and Ren and Jo were Reserve Challenge Bitch. On Saturday, Ricki took Sascha to the 100 metre sprint at Capalaba greyhound track where, as usual, Sascha performed so well.

Ricki sent this cracker of a photo to me which shows the speed and athleticism of these dogs.

14 April

At Nanango show today, Conrad and Christine’s lovely boy, Angus (Ch Chilolo TN Serengeti Gus) was awarded a 10 point Best of Breed which were the final points he needed for his title. Congratulations to Conrad and Christine for having their first champion!! Angus is Champion Number 91! He is a litter brother to Ren and is sired by Nikki out of Tuku.

7/8/9 April

Bundaberg Canine Club held a weekend of 6 championship shows over the Easter Weekend.

We were only able to compete at the first four shows mostly under international judges but our dogs, once again, did us proud.

Goldie was Best of Breed twice, Ren (Aust Ch Chilolo TN Serengeti Gold) owned/handled by Jo Russell was Best of Breed at one show and Caelum was awarded Best In Hound Group and Best Australian Bred in Show at one show.

WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW

Today was Toowoomba Royal judging under highly respected International judge Mr Wen Wo Chan (Malaysia), our girl Goldie (Aust Ch Chilolo BM Gold Moon Rising) was awarded Best In Hound Group and then BEST IN SHOW!!!!!

This is the first time ever that a Rhodesian Ridgeback has won a Royal Show anywhere in Australia.

We are super proud of this gorgeous young girl. Her brother, Aust Ch Chilolo BM Gold On The Moon was Challenge Dog and Runner Up Best of Breed.

26 March
We only managed to get to one show this weekend at the Sunshine Coast KC at Beerwah where Goldie took out Best of Breed.

Julie’s young girl, Stellar, was Reserve Challenge and Runner UP Best of Breed and Chatter (Ch Deserthunter CL Final Word) who is now owned by Julie, was awarded Runner Up Best Neuter in Group.

Bless her – she is really enjoying being out in the ring again.

19 February
Steve had a lovely weekend with Ranger in Western Australia going Challenge Dog, Runner Up Best of Breed and Best Open in Hound Group. The following weekend, Steve and Ranger were awarded 2 x Dog Challenge awards and 1 x Best of Breed in Perth.

11 February
Had a lovely day at Allora show today with Caelum taking out Best of Breed and Best Intermediate in the Hound Group.

27 January
Goldie took a big 15 point Best of Breed and Best Australian Bred in Group at the Gold Coast Kennel Club show in Brisbane.

31 January
Goldie had her hip and elbow xray today and the results were excellent as shown.
